Hello again everyone! I hope you all are having a great week and a fantastic start to your December. First, let’s take a quick second to recap the third part of this five-part series. When we last left our marketing/business plan for 2020, we had finished setting up our daily goals. Don’t worry, I know that I said this is a five part series, but the last part starts after you are already killing it in 2020! In our last blog, we created an example of a daily goal of 35 people. Today we are going to talk about how you are going to reach those goals and here is a little hint: If you can’t figure out how to reach your goal, you need to adjust it. I hear it all the time. “Stephen I am going to reach my goal by working harder.” I go without sugar coating things. What stopped you from working harder this year? Planning to work harder is like planning to lose weight without changing your diet or exercising. Can you achieve your goals by doing it? Maybe, but that isn’t planning. Since you have come this far with your goals for 2020, take the final step. Figure out the actual activities that will allow you to talk to your amount of new clients each day (our example was 35 and for the rest of this part I will be using that number). Maybe you business is insurance and when you stop in to your local coffee shop your going to talk to five people every day about what they do and what you do. Or maybe your a personal trainer and you plan to head down to the running trails and see everyone struggling to make it and strike up a conversation with 10 people each day. Do you see the difference? Set goals that are actionable. Say “Today I will get ______ potential clients by going to ________ and doing ________. Remember this is a daily thing so it has to be repeatable. There are tons of amazing ways to reach your audience all over your town. Can’t think of any give me a call, I’m sure I can help think of some for you! 843-469-0216 So you have wracked your brain and out of the necessary 35 new clients each day you have figured out how to talk with 25 each day. Not quite there, so guess where the other 10 are supposed to come from? That's right, your marketing! You now have a goal to give your marketing firm to have them reach for. Just make sure you are talking to the right firm and that they are giving you the right kind of marketing. Alright, we have taken you from having no idea what to do about 2020, to someone that not only has a daily goal that will lead them to success, but also you now have the knowledge on how to get those daily goals! Next week is the last part of this series, and we will be talking about what are the most important factors to record moving forward that will make your life next year in December a breeze.
